Overview

With great regret, following the announcements on Monday 16 March by the government and on Tuesday 17 March by the Church of England, all public worship has been suspended until further notice.  We are working hard to make online prayer and worship resources available on our website, but please bear with us while we do so.  Our prayers will continue and our commitment to the town and its people remains unchanged.

St Mary’s is a friendly and welcoming church family at the heart of the Sturminster Newton community.  From Little Acorns pre-school church to hosting school services to Holy Communion on Sundays, we have services and social events to suit everyone. Part of a benefice (or group) of Church of England parishes that also includes St Peter’s, Hinton St Mary and St Thomas a Becket, Lydlinch, we meet on Sundays and throughout the week and our Vicar, Philippa, can be seen around town most days!

Regular weekly services:

Daily: Morning Prayer at 9am and Evening Prayer at 5:30pm

Wednesdays: Holy communion at 10am

1st and 3rd Sundays: Holy Communion at 11am

2nd and 4th Sundays: Holy Communion at 9:30am

Every Sunday: 6pm Evensong

Reminders of service times are regularly posted on the St Mary’s Facebook page and on the noticeboards inside and outside the church and outside Holebrooks on teh Town Square.
