Walking North Dorset is an unalloyed pleasure. Gentle rolling hills, hilltop forts literally dug by hand, postage stamp fields divided by the enclosure acts of the 17th and 18th century. The gentle (and sometimes not so gentle) rub of man on his environment over time.
