This is a guide for visitors but also a reminder to residents of how fortunate we are to have such a range of independent shops and other facilities for a small town. So don’t drive off to a big supermarket, save the planet and the £5 of petrol to spend locally. Our bakers, butchers and greengrocers are no further apart than the aisles of a supermarket.
